ACE IMPACT CIC / PROJECTS
Different projects. Shared purpose.
Some projects meet an immediate need. Others give communities the skills, places, connections and confidence to shape what comes next. They all start with people, rather than assumptions about what people need.
PROJECTS IN PRACTICE
Practical work. Human connections.
From a garden that feels manageable again to a workshop where conversation comes naturally, our projects put community development into everyday life.
BLOOMING NEIGHBOURS
A little help outside. A little more freedom.
Supervised garden support for older and less mobile residents in the Basildon area. Manageable tasks, friendly company and outdoor spaces people can enjoy.
SHED INSIDE KING EDWARD
Sawdust. Tea. Actual conversation.
An adult woodworking and making project in Laindon. Come to learn, make or mend — and meet the people around the workbench.
INCREDIBLE EDIBLE LAINDON
Grow a carrot. Start a conversation.
Neighbours sharing food-growing skills and caring for edible planting together. Small patches of green, with room for more people to get involved.
WITH OUR PARTNERS
Change happens together.
BENS Emergency Night Shelters
Homelessness / Partnership
Emergency winter shelter led by Churches Together in Basildon. ACE supports coordination and communications as part of the wider partnership.
Friends of King Edward
Community participation / Laindon
Supporting local residents and centre users to shape activities, priorities and improvements at King Edward Community Centre.
South Essex Getting to Green
Environmental action / South Essex
An action group linking residents, community organisations and businesses to develop practical environmental ideas and shared projects.
IDEAS BEING DEVELOPED
Not every idea is ready to open its doors.
We believe in showing work in development honestly. These concepts are being explored, shaped and tested — they are not all available as public services yet.
The Community Exchange
Digital platform / In development
A public directory and knowledge library to make community support, opportunities and resources easier to discover.
Infusion Café
Connection / In development
A welcoming community café concept, creating informal opportunities to meet and feel part of something.
Community Lab
Creativity / Proposed
A proposed intergenerational drop-in where crafts, games, making and shared skills could help people connect.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU
Good projects need more than good intentions.
Have local knowledge, a practical skill, space, resources or an idea of your own? Let’s explore where we could work together.
