Advancing Community Empowerment
Good people.
Too many barriers.
Let’s change that.
We bring people, ideas and resources together so communities can overcome barriers, have a say and make things happen.

WHO WE ARE
Communities have plenty to offer.
Let’s make more of it.
Local knowledge. Useful skills. Ideas worth exploring.
Every community has strengths. But a good idea can stall without the right support, connections or resources. And too often, the people closest to an issue have the least say in what happens next.
ACE Impact CIC is a community development organisation. We work alongside residents, local groups and partners to strengthen what’s already there, tackle what gets in the way and turn shared priorities into action.
01 / PEOPLE
More say. More possibility.
We help people share their experience, build confidence and shape the decisions that affect their lives.
02 / ORGANISATIONS
A stronger footing.
We support community groups with planning, governance, funding and the practical foundations that help good work keep going.
03 / IDEAS INTO ACTION
Sleeves rolled up.
We connect people and resources, develop projects and help turn a promising conversation into something useful.
OUR WORK IN PRACTICE
Different projects.
More doors open.
A manageable garden. A place to make and mend. Help through a difficult night. Each project responds to a different challenge, with people at its heart.
01 / PRACTICAL SUPPORT
Blooming Neighbours
Gardening support for older and less mobile neighbours who are at risk of trips and falls, helping outdoor spaces feel accessible again.
02 / SKILLS & CONNECTION
Shed Inside
Sawdust. Tea. Actual conversation. A welcoming place to make, mend and share skills at King Edward Community Centre.
03 / PARTNERSHIP WORK
BENS Night Shelters
A safe night can be a starting point. ACE supports the coordination of BENS, a project created by Churches Together in Basildon.
04 / IN DEVELOPMENT
The Community Exchange
Less searching. More finding. We’re developing an easier way to discover support, activities and opportunities. It’s already there, it shouldn’t be hard to find.
WHY IT MATTERS
The barriers are real.
So are the possibilities.
Money worries, housing insecurity and isolation can make everyday life harder. Having little influence over local decisions can make change feel further out of reach.
We start by listening to the people who know those challenges first-hand. Then we bring their experience together with local strengths and credible evidence to work out where practical action could help.
THE CHANGE WE WORK TOWARDS
Big claims?
Show your workings.
Activity is a start. What changes for people is what matters.
We want our work to help create:
More connection.
People building relationships, sharing skills and finding support.
More influence.
Communities helping shape the decisions and opportunities around them.
Stronger foundations.
Local groups with the confidence, resources and support to keep going.
We use feedback and project evidence to understand what is changing, what needs improving and what we still have to learn.
LET’S MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN
Bring your ideas.
We’ll put the kettle on.
You might have a local idea, a group that needs support, time to volunteer or resources to share. There’s more than one way to help a community move forward.
We also work with funders, businesses and public services who want to turn shared priorities into practical action.
